{3rd Day of Christmas} Red Velvet Crinkle Cookies

At my last visit to Panera Bread I was introduced to these amazing Red Velvet Crinkle Cookies. Rich red velvet flavor is packed into a chewy cookie with white chocolate chips, then dusted with powdered sugar. With just one bite I knew I had to recreate such a tasty treat!

Not only are these cookies delicious, but they are so pretty to look at! They would make a beautiful addition to any Christmas cookie platter.

Makes about 2 dozen cookies

1 box Duncan Hines red velvet cake mix
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 large eggs
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup white chocolate chips
Powdered sugar for rolling the cookies

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Line your baking sheets with parchment paper and set aside.

Over a large bowl, sift cake mix and flour. In the bowl of a stand mixer, mix together the cake mix, flour, eggs, oil, and vanilla extract. Mix well until smooth. Stir in white chocolate chips until combined.

Take about 1 tablespoon of the dough and roll into a ball. Roll the ball in powdered sugar until fully coated. Place the cookie balls on the prepared baking sheets. Bake for 10 minutes, or until edges are set and the cookies begin to crack. Note: Even if the cookies don't look completely done take them out of the oven after about 10 minutes. Transfer cookies to a wire rack to cool.

Recipe Adapted from Duncan Hines

I love the addition of white chocolate chips in the crinkles!

This is even better than chocolate crinkles! So pretty & festive. They remind me of the red velvet cookies at Panera, only I'm sure these are much better!
